FUE Hair Transplant
FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION (FUE)
To perform this technique, which addresses hair loss, everything begins with shaving the nape. Once shaved, the operating doctor and technicians remove follicular units (grafts) using suitable tools — specifically forceps and a "punch" (0.7 mm in diameter, or a "Hybrid punch" of 0.8 mm). The team then replants the follicular units, ensuring they are tightly packed and respecting the principle of natural scalp redistribution. This technique leaves the shaved nape visible. You then have to wait several months to see the first results.
Advantages of FUE
Unlike the older FUT technique (Follicular Unit Transplant / strip), FUE leaves no linear scar in the donor area (occipital crown). This technique also allows existing scars to be repaired (covered) through grafting. All types and styles of hair can be treated (straight, wavy, curly, kinky, mid-length, long, short, depigmented, etc.).
- Up to 3,000 grafts implanted in a single session
- Maximum density possible (thanks to our 0.7 mm diameter punches)
- No scar in the donor area, and no skin mound in the recipient area
Non-Shaven FUE
Here is another variant of Follicular Unit Extraction, sometimes called the discreet hair transplant. While in the previous version the nape is fully shaved and visible after the procedure, this technique avoids that downside. Once the procedure is complete, and throughout the growth process, those around you will not notice you had surgery.
- A technique for all hair styles (mid-length, long, curly, etc.)
- FUE is suitable for people with a sparse or slightly thinning scalp
- For a discreet — even undetectable — hair transplant
THE QUALITY OF FUE
With the use of this technique (0.7 mm punch / 0.8 mm Hybrid punch), you benefit from better quality in the donor area after the procedure (very low transection rate, undamaged zone). Aesthetics come first when implanting grafts in thinning areas: manual forceps FUE allows precise distribution, optimal density, and full control of the angle and depth of graft implantation. The procedure can be performed in all cases, with no contraindications.
- More natural result than with other techniques
- High-quality extraction with an extremely low transection rate
- Optimal densification
- Shorter healing period after the procedure
- ICE GRAFTS / ICE FUE technique: preserves the quality and health of grafts for longer before reimplantation.
