Follicular Unit Extraction— Phoenix Hair Center — FUE Hair Transplant —
1. Consultation
The consultation can be done either with our hair expert (free of charge) at the center or online (Skype/WhatsApp), or with our hair expert together with our aesthetic doctor at the center (paid). All consultations are by appointment only.
2. The procedure
The procedure is outpatient and lasts between 6 and 8 hours, in two phases:
- In the morning (9:30 am), after breakfast (included), we begin with the extraction: a first round of local anesthesia (Xylocaine), then harvesting from your occipital crown.
- In the afternoon, after lunch (included), we continue with implantation: a second round of local anesthesia (Xylocaine), and the grafts collected in the morning are implanted into the target areas.
3. Recovery
After the procedure, the first 5 days are critical to ensure the implanted grafts are safe. Scabs (on both the donor and recipient areas) will be numerous and will fall off progressively over the 10 to 12 days following the procedure, disappearing completely. You will then regain your normal appearance — no more visible signs of surgery — and your initial look from before the procedure.
4. The fuzz phase
In most cases (for men), between the 3rd and 4th week after the procedure, what we call the "fuzz" appears: small, thick, dark and ephemeral hairs that fall out within a few days.
5. The first hairs
You then have to wait until the 3rd or 4th month after the procedure to see the first hairs appear. For a beautiful density, it happens around the 6th or 7th month.
6. The final result
A hair transplant is considered complete 10 to 12 months after the day of the procedure. It is on this anniversary that we review your Before/After together, because at Phoenix Hair we guarantee our results in writing (more than 85% regrowth means the transplant is successful).
